This Privacy Policy tells you who we are, what personal information we ask you to provide when you register to use the blog, and what we do with that information.
Who we are
The Totally Free Berkshires blog is hosted by the Pittsfield Prevention Partnership (“we”, “us”), which is a coalition of community members from many professions and walks of life whose mission is to unite youth, parents and community leaders to create an environment for positive change to nurture healthy youth development in a healthy community. The purpose of the blog is to provide a place where young people in the Berkshires can connect to discuss issues relating to substance abuse.
What information we ask you to provide
We do not ask for any registration or personal information to view the blog. If you want to post to the blog, you will need to register an account, which requires that you give us your name, the name of your school, your age, and your email address. You can also give us, though you don’t have to, information about your gender and additional contact options. We require certain information so that we can determine your eligibility to post to the blog (you must be at least 13 years old) and so that we can contact you if we deem it necessary (for example, to let you know about any problems with your account).
How we use information that identifies you

Generally, only those employees or coalition members who need access to your identifying information in order to do their job (like blog maintenance) are allowed access. In addition, your username, screen name, and email address is stored and organized for us by an outside service provider who manages our blog registration and password assignment system.
While we generally will not disclose your indentifying information to anyone other than the service provider discussed above, we may disclose it if we obtain your consent, or we believe we are mandated by law to disclose it (such as when a court orders us to do so), or we believe in good faith that disclosure to an appropriate authority is necessary to protect someone from danger.
How we use information that does not identify you
We may use registration information that does not identify you for our own internal business purposes (like assessing which age groups, gender, or schools are participating most in the blog), and we may also share it with others for any legal purpose.
How you can correct, update, or delete your registration information
You can correct, update, or delete the registration information you have given us by sending an email requesting changes to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
